Puerto Vallarta is located at the center of one of the world's largest bays 'Banderas Bay' on the Mexican Pacific coast. The bay provides Puerto Vallarta with shelter from the harsh Pacific winds and hard weather. The climate is temperate but with sub-tropical vegetation. Vallarta enjoys 345 days of sunshine each year with average daytime temperatures reaching into the high 80's but at night the onshore breeze from the Bay brings cool air and cooler night temperatures that make for pleasant sleeping conditions.

Vallarta also has one of the least intrusive rainy seasons found this far south. From mid June to mid October there is rain almost daily but usually not until late afternoon which makes most of the day clear for activities. There is virtually no rain from November to June.
Casa Isabel is nestled in the lush foothills of the Sierra Madre Mountains with spectacular views from every angle. We are a few minutes walk from the beaches, restaurants, and shops in the "Romantic Zone".

Our closest beach is the popular Los Muertos Beach in old town Puerta Vallarta (10 minute walk from the Casa Isabel). The old pier is always busy picking up guests for day cruises & fishing charters. Also hourly water taxis leave from here to the many lovely beaches unacessable by road.
Mexican children have fun diving and fishing off the pier and it is a popular spot for locals.
